This was an interesting piece to turn from whimsical to realistic. I started off with some very basic sculpts in Maya to block out my piece in Zbrush, where I really transformed the piece. I then did most of my retopology using Zbrush and decimation master to come up with my game res model. I brought those models back into Maya to do my UVing, then baked the high res on the low res mesh in Substance Painter, where I textured and colored my project.
I know that there are some stretching issues on the project. Naturally when I tried to go back into Maya to fix some of these issues, something went wrong and I can no longer open Maya at all... I am waiting to hear back from them on resolving this issue. I also would have done the UVing a little differently for the trees and rocks I believe, potentially with a little less geometry in the rock bases.
